Thanks to all who attended the memorial gatherings on Monday and Wednesday evenings, June 4^th and 6^th. It is with a painfully heavy heart that I report the following news ---- our great and dear friend, bassist Jack Stoehr, passed away this past Wednesday, May 30, 2012. There is an empty space in, I think, all our hearts that will never be filled. I have been truly blessed to have known him -- a fine man of integrity, spirit, and deserved respect -- an honorable man with a heart as big as the wind -- unselfish, giving, and loyal to a fault. I am a better person for having had him in my life -- and I am abundantly proud to call him my friend --- and prouder still that he called me the same. Any words I write will be inadequate to express the bond between us -- or the bond he had with anyone in his life --- his devotion to friends and family was paramount to him -- the core of his existence. Would that I could live up to such an example -- my heart is heavy and broken...... our time together too short...... now, to go cry a river....... I will miss you unbelievably my friend.
